Hi, I'm Soumya.
I'm working to scale world-class eye care across emerging markets.

My career began in quantitative economics at UC San Diego, followed by financial modeling at PwC and venture investing at Obvious Ventures. I learned to analyze markets, value companies, and identify emerging trends—but always from a distance.

I realized that wasn't enough. I wanted to move from analyzing impact to building it.

Today, I lead business operations for Eye-Q Vision in Nigeria, while supporting our India operations. I stepped into a legacy my father built over 18 years, but my mandate is distinct: adapting proven healthcare models to the complex, vibrant reality of West Africa while building the infrastructure to serve millions who lack access to quality eye care.

The past few months have been transformative—relocating to Lagos, launching West Africa's first mobile eye clinic, and documenting Eye-Q's 18-year journey at IIM Ahmedabad. Each experience has reinforced why this work matters: the potential to create lasting impact at scale in one of the world's most dynamic regions.
